Wessam Osama is a Tax & Zakat Director at CLA Global in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in Egypt, where he (amongst other things) leads a team of tax managers and consultants to deliver a broad range of tax and zakat compliance, advisory, and dispute resolution services to various clients. He was most recently a Group Tax Manager at Hayat Kimya in Turkey. Prior to that, he served as an in-house Regional Tax Specialist at Mondelez International in North Africa, the Levant, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He also served as a Senior Tax Consultant at PwC in Egypt and before that, as a Tax Inspector & International Tax Researcher at the Egyptian Tax Authority.

Wessam has over eleven (11) years of extensive cognate experience in various aspects of taxation, including international tax planning, tax deal advisory, and transactional tax practice. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree with accounting major (2012) and a Pre-Master of Accounting certification (2013), both from the Cairo University in Egypt. Wessam is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) licensed by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) in the United States of America (US). He is currently processing his Chartered Public Accountant (CPA) qualification with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) in the US. He is also currently pursuing an Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT) from the Chartered Institute of Taxation in the United Kingdom. He speaks fluent Arabic and English.
