Renata Dalla Torre Amatucci is a European Union (EU) Public Policy Specialist at the Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome, Italy, where she contributes to academic and policy discourse as an Assistant Policy Analyst, participating in EU policy simulations and public affairs education. She has over fourteen (14) years’ extensive cognate experience in tax controversy and legal and fiscal policy development practice. She worked for well over a decade as a Senior Tax Litigation Attorney & Partner at leading Brazilian law firms, including the top-rated Machado Associados, advising major national and multinational corporations on complex tax controversy and compliance strategy engagements.

Throughout her career, Renata actively handled high-profile cases across Brazil, representing major national and international corporations before judicial and administrative courts. She worked from the São Paulo office and served as Head of the Rio de Janeiro and Brasília regional units, where she led tax litigation teams and ensured strategic consistency across offices. Her expertise spans participation in tax-related anti-corruption investigations, and advisory on fiscal policy compliance for Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) operations. She also developed tax policy strategies that influenced municipal and federal regulations in Brazil.

Renata holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the Mackenzie Presbyterian University in Brazil. She also holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Taxation Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo in Brazil. She further holds a Master in European Studies (MES) degree from the Luis Guido Carli University in Rome, Italy, where her research thesis focused on EU Green Bonds as instruments of sustainable fiscal policy. Renata is passionate about mentorship for sustainable career growth and mentors with a view to facilitating cross-border knowledge exchange.
