Nafisat Raji Abudulwaliyu is a dedicated final year law student at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in Nigeria (ABU), where she serves as the Vice President of the ABU Tax Club. She is passionate about taxation, public finance, and commercial disputes resolution. She is also passionate about impactful leadership and effective people management. In her role as the Vice President of the ABU Tax Club, she has actively led efforts to foster student engagement, hosted impactful tax-focused programs, and facilitated student connections with prominent industry professionals. Beyond her student leadership role at ABU, Nafisat has served as a Student Research Analyst for the Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms Committee, where she made valuable contributions to Nigeria’s recent Tax Reforms Bills aimed at enhancing fiscal governance, simplification of the tax system, and driving economic growth.
Nafisat is also skilled at legal research writing and advocacy. She has authored articles on tax law and participated in national tax competitions that have sharpened her analytical thinking and practical understanding of Nigeria’s tax landscape. Nafisat is passionate about the role of taxation in promoting equity, accountability, and national development. As a Tax Intern at Emmanuel Onyeabor Tax Initiative (EOTI), she continues to explore the innovative ways in which taxation can be used as a tool for economic transformation and sustainable governance.
