Izunna Paul Duru is an emerging legal and tax professional with remarkable academic, research, and leadership potential. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Nigeria where he developed strong legal research skills. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Philosophy from the Imo State University in Nigeria, where he gained exposure to advanced logic and philosophical thinking techniques which developed his critical and analytical problem-solving skills. He has a strong interest in taxation law and policy, energy law, shipping and maritime law, and corporate governance.

Izunna is a Master of Laws (LLM) Candidate at the Rivers State University in Nigeria, where he is exploring research engagements in energy law, shipping and maritime law, and business law generally. He is also an alumnus of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) of Nigeria’s Blockchain Technology Scholarship Initiative where he was trained and certified as a Blockchain Technician by 5thwork. During his time at the Nigerian Law School (NLS) where he earned his legal practice qualifying certificate (BL), Izunna served as an Assistant Group Leader where he successfully led a team of students in a Moot Competition at the Port Harcourt Campus of the NLS. Izunna benefits from various practical exposures to legal and tax practice, including internship stints at various reputable institutions and fast-rising law firms in Nigeria.
