Tax Intern at Emmanuel Onyeabor Tax Initiative (EOTI)

Heritage Abajesude is a high-achieving 400 law student at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria (UI) on first class standing. His remarkable academic journey has been characterized by immense dedication to academic excellence, continuous professional development, impactful student leadership, and global social impact. As an aspiring lawyer and thought leader, he is passionate about tax policymaking and reform, tax technology, tax controversy, and international taxation. He is also interested in public international law, human rights litigation, technology law, and commercial disputes resolution. Beyond his legal and academic pursuits, Heritage has strong leadership, organizational, and people management skills. He is a member of the UI Students’ Council of Legal Aids and the UI Alternative Dispute Resolution Club, amongst other student organizations. He is also a Fellow of The Bridge Program Fellowship at UI.
Heritage currently serves as the Deputy Chamber’s Leader of the Darnley Alexander Student Chambers at UI. He also holds other notable student leadership positions across his faculty, hall of residence, and the larger university community at UI. As a United Nations certified global volunteer, his dedication to social impact has been displayed in his volunteering activities locally, regionally, and globally. Heritage is also a talented wordsmith. He is particularly skilled at legal research writing, copy and content writing, and freelance creative writing. He has successfully published a couple of his works in reputable student journals and magazines.
