Habeebat Abike Sanusi is a Chartered Accountant certified by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a highly motivated 300 level Management & Accounting student at the Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria (OAU). She is passionate about taxation and finance practice and has a growing track record of involvement in impactful tax-related initiatives. Her interest in taxation was sparked during her pursuit of the ICAN professional accounting certification, where she developed a deep appreciation for the role of tax in shaping business strategy and public finance. This interest in taxation and finance led her to actively participate in tax-focused extracurricular activities at OAU.
Habeebat is an active member of the OAU Tax Club, where she interacts with like-minded individuals, takes on challenges, and stays updated on current tax issues. In recognition of her dedication to continuous learning and professional development, Habeebat was selected to attend the PwC Tax Academy – an experience that deepened her understanding of the revolutionary Nigeria Tax Reform Bills that were signed into law in June 2025. Seeking to build on this foundation with practical experience, she joined the Emmanuel Onyeabor Tax Initiative (EOTI) as a Tax Intern. In her role as a Tax Intern at EOTI, she aims to contribute meaningfully to impactful tax projects while expanding her practical knowledge in taxation.
