Fred Ogundu-Osondu is Managing Partner and co-head of the Disputes Practice Group at Fred Ogundu & Co. in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Fred has eight (8) years’ cognate experience in providing commercial disputes resolution services to clients, focusing on debt recovery, employment, tax controversy, intellectual property, property law, contracts, and compensation claims arising from oil exploration activities. Fred regularly provides Nigerian legal and tax advisory support services to international law firms advising multinational entities engaged in cross-border transactions involving Nigeria. He has also led and conducted numerous data protection audits for International Oil Companies (IOCs) and other multinational corporations, having excelled at the foundational and practitioners’ course levels of his professional data audit certification requirements at the Nigerian Data Protection Academy.
Fred holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Nigeria and is an active member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Port Harcourt Branch. In addition to his legal practice, Fred has professional affiliations with prestigious international institutions like the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA) in the Netherlands, the Institute for Transnational Arbitration (ITA) in the United States of America, the London Court of International Arbitration – Young International Arbitration Group in the United Kingdom (UK), the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) in Malaysia, the Swiss Arbitration Association in Switzerland, and the Thomson Reuters Foundation in London, UK.
Fred is General Secretary at Emmanuel Onyeabor Tax Initiative (EOTI), where he provides general administrative and secretarial support services to the EOTI Executive Council.
