Favour Opurum is an emerging legal and tax professional with demonstrated academic, research, and leadership excellence. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the Imo State University in Nigeria, where she served as Academic Secretary and later as Secretary-General of the Law Students’ Association, reflecting her deep commitment to academic and organizational leadership. Favour benefits from various practical exposures to legal and tax practice, including internship stints at leading Nigerian institutions and professional services firms like KPMG in Nigeria, Hilton Top Solicitors, and the Joint Initiative for Innovation and Policy in Climate Change (JIIPCC), where she gained valuable exposure to the practical intricacies of taxation law and policy.
Favour is skilled at legal writing and public speaking. She has authored several articles and delivered thought-provoking presentations on topical legal issues. She was awarded Best Oralist at the 2021 National International Humanitarian Law Moot Competition after leading her team to victory in a law school moot trial.
