Dr. Paulinus Ikechukwu Iyika is a seasoned public finance and policy expert with over twelve (12) years of extensive cognate experience in international tax and transfer pricing practice. He is an Assistant Director and the Group Head of the Transfer Pricing Audit (Oil & Gas) Division at the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Lagos, Nigeria. He was recently the Head of the International Tax Compliance Division at the FIRS in Lagos, Nigeria. Prior to joining FIRS in 2010, he was an Assistant Manager (Technical) at the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN) and an Associate Lecturer of Accounting & Finance at the University of Maiduguri in Nigeria. Within the taxation ecosystem, he has actively participated in shaping tax policy and administration both locally, regionally, and beyond. He has been actively involved with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the United Nations (UN) committees on various aspects of international taxation.

Paulinus holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in International Development Finance from Covenant University in Nigeria and a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Business Administration from the National Open University of Nigeria. He also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Accounting & Finance from the University of Maiduguri in Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), and an Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT) Affiliate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, United Kingdom. Paulinus has delivered papers at several conferences and workshops as well as served in various tax committees including ICAN’s Tax & Fiscal Policy Faculty Committee.
