Courage Ifeanyi Iroegbute is a driven solutions-oriented legal professional with remarkable passion for data privacy, tech policy, and international arbitration. He is also cultivating interest in tax technology, international tax law and policy, and tax deal advisory. Courage is an associate at OAKE Legal in Abuja, Nigeria, where he provides strategic legal counsel in corporate compliance, dispute resolution, and technology law, ensuring efficiency and regulatory alignment for clients. He is passionate about leveraging law, policy, and innovation to create practical solutions for businesses and individuals navigating complex legal and regulatory landscapes. Courage holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Nigeria (UNN) where he graduated with flying colours and obtained his legal practice qualifying certificate (BL) from the Nigerian Law School with outstanding performance.

Courage is a Chartered Mediator & Conciliator (AICMC) certified by the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC). He is deeply invested in international investment law and cross-border dispute resolution. In 2022, he led the UNN Team to the Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot, where the UNN Team secured fifth place in the African Regional Rounds. This experience honed his advocacy skills in investment arbitration and reinforced his commitment to excellence in international legal practice. 

Beyond his professional pursuits in law, Courage has demonstrated strong innovative and leadership skills. As founding president of the Technology Law Club at UNN, he spearheaded initiatives designed to bridge law and technology, organized high-impact industry events, and secured sponsorships that benefited aspiring legal professionals. His contributions to legal technology earned him the Young Innovators Award at the Africa Law Tech Festival, and he played a key role in launching Nigeria’s first Legal Tech Innovation Challenge, fostering greater engagement with digital transformation in law.
