Chioma Peace Nnamchi is an emerging tax and technology professional with remarkable academic, research, and leadership potential. She is a UI/UX designer, researcher, and writer with a passion for taxation, energy and environmental law, commercial arbitration, and policy reform. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree with First Class Honours from the University of Nigeria (UNN), where she served as a Senior Advocate of the University of Nigeria (SAUN) in the University of Nigeria Students’ Bar Association (UNSBA). She also served as the Managing Partner of Zenith Associates Chambers (a division of UNSBA), where she directed and trained over 50 student-associates and interns, leading to an 80% increase in productivity and competition victories for the Chambers. She pioneered the Zenith Newsletter, significantly enhancing the Chambers’ visibility and outreach. 

In her role as Director of Communications for the International Law Students’ Association (ILSA), UNN, Chioma streamlined internal and external communication, greatly increasing organizational efficiency. She also initiated the ILSA Fun Fact Friday Series, an educational campaign that boosted engagement and knowledge about international law within the student community. As Chairperson of the Tech and Media Committee, she spearheaded the development of a virtual balloting system for inter-chambers moot competitions. She also successfully organized the first fully virtual UNSBA arbitration moot competition, bridging geographical gaps and expanding students’ participation. Additionally, as Chairperson of the UNSBA Electoral Commission, she led a credible and transparent election, increasing voter turnout by 10% compared to the previous year.  She was also a member of UNN Tax Club, where she actively engaged in discussions on fiscal policies and tax justice. 

Chioma has gained practical legal experience through internship roles held at Ikeyi Shittu & Co., Omaplex Law Firm, and other reputable institutions. At Ikeyi Shittu & Co., she worked closely with the ISC Tax Services, where she actively engaged in tax-related cases, reporting several Tax Appeal Tribunal decisions, reviewing tax returns, and participating in tax tribunal visits. This experience deepened her understanding of Nigeria’s tax framework, compliance challenges, and opportunities for reform. 

In support of her academic and professional pursuits, Chioma is a dedicated researcher and writer, having authored insightful works on taxation, petroleum law, and corporate governance. Her analytical skills and keen attention to detail have contributed to academic publications and strategic reports, positioning her as an emerging thought leader in energy, taxation, and policy advocacy.

Chioma is the Lead Media Content Writer at Emmanuel Onyeabor Tax Initiative (EOTI), where she leverages her expertise in technology and communications to drive impactful promotional and advocacy campaigns. She is committed to using media and digital storytelling to simplify complex tax issues, engage stakeholders, and promote informed discourse on tax justice, compliance, and policy reform.
