Chimamanda Augustine is an emerging legal professional with a growing interest in taxation, corporate law practice, and commercial disputes resolution. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Nigeria (UNIZIK), where she served as a founding member and Research Assistant of the UNIZIK Tax Club. In this role, she developed her passion for taxation and advocacy, preparing arguments for national competitions such as the University of Lagos (UNILAG) National Tax Debate and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) Tax Quiz. Her strong dedication to legal research and tax advocacy earned her notable accolades, including Winner of the Toptip Royal Media Tax Quiz & Essay Competition (2023) and 2nd Runner-Up in the Dalley Ajibola International Law Essay Competition (2022).

Beyond her academic pursuits, Chimamanda has a proven track record of student leadership and advocacy. She served as Vice President of the Law Students Association, UNIZIK, earning several awards including the Faculty Vice President of the Year (2021) award and the South-East Female Law Student of the Year (2021) award. She was also Managing Partner (Lord Chancellor) of the Equity Chambers, UNIZIK, where she led over 150 students and guided teams to multiple national moot and mock competition victories. As Editor-in-Chief of the Faculty’s Editorial Board, she spearheaded the publication of its 2024 annual journal. Chimamanda is an Associate Member of both the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICARB) and the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC).
