Chidiebere Okorafor is a young legal professional with a strong passion for taxation, regulatory compliance, and commercial disputes resolution. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree with First Class Honours from the University of Nigeria, where he emerged the best graduating male student in the Faculty of Law. He also earned the Dean’s Award for the second overall best graduating student in the Faculty of Law. With over two years’ experience, Chidiebere has excelled at managing complex litigation portfolios across multiple courts in Nigeria, delivering strategic tax advisory services to clients, and ensuring corporate compliance for diverse organizations. He currently serves as an in-house Counsel at Copen Group of Companies in Nigeria, where he oversees regulatory compliance and tax optimization for several subsidiaries and associated business entities.
Chidiebere benefits from an engaging stint at The Law Crest LLP in Nigeria, where he advised on several tax, employment, and commercial engagements, including market-defining transactions. Chidiebere’s research interests include digital taxation, international corporate tax structuring, general corporate tax, and tax deal advisory. He is a passionate writer with several published works on fiscal law and tax policy. He holds memberships of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). He also actively participates in the NBA-Section on Business Law’s Energy/Natural Resources and Tax Committees. Chidiebere is passionate about tax awareness and tax education. With experience in tax planning, compliance, and commercial disputes resolution, he offers practical, solutions-based advice tailored to clients’ needs and peculiarities.
