Every Saturday, our exclusive members-only Knowledge Sharing Sessions (KSS) showcase the depth and expertise that make the EOTI community unlike any other in tax innovation. Yes, you read that right. We are E Pluribus Unum!
This past Saturday, 16 August 2025, our Reem abuzeid – Tax Policymaking & Reform Coordinator of the EOTI Tax Academy, and Stephen Adebiyi – Research Officer for the Research & Content Team at EOTI, drew from ongoing global tax conversations and delivered powerful presentations on two cutting-edge topics shaping the future of transnational taxation of intangibles and cross-border services:
- “Navigating Trade-offs in Designing the United Nations Framework Tax Convention: Towards a New Solution for Taxing Cross-Border Services”; and
2. “Taxing Hard-to-Value Intangibles and Decrypting the Value Premium Puzzle: Patents, Trademarks, and other Intellectual Properties in Perspective”.
Our members were also treated to a special masterclass on practical steps for writing compelling professional profiles and optimizing LinkedIn profiles for optimal career visibility by our Founding Tax Mentor, Emmanuel Onyeabor. Key tips on how to properly manage mentorship relationships and access to experienced professionals for optimal results were also shared.
These sessions are opportunities for our members to access world-class insights, exclusive mentorship tips, and conversations that influence the global tax landscape from our diverse tax policymakers, auditors, administrators, academicians, analysts, and business/ media experts.
Our exclusive members-only KSS and masterclass sessions are a series of carefully crafted tax capacity development efforts at EOTI, which showcase our commitment to continuous learning and professional development, and our shared drive towards equipping our people to thrive in their professional lives.
