Following its spectacular launch on 7 March 2025, Emmanuel Onyeabor Tax Initiative (EOTI) opened applications for the inaugural cycles of its six (6) months virtual Professional Graduate Tax Mentorship Program and three (3) months virtual Undergraduate Tax Internship Program. Applications remained open until 31 March 2025. EOTI received over two hundred (200) applications – mostly from Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, and India. After a rigorous review and interview process, EOTI chose fifty-one (51) Tax Mentees and thirty (30) Tax Interns mostly from Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, and Kenya for the inaugural cohort of its tax mentorship and tax internship programs which both commenced on 15 April 2025 and will respectively close on 15 October 2025 and 15 July 2025.
The tax mentorship and tax internship programs at EOTI are designed to equip participants with practical tax knowledge and exposure that will prepare them for exciting careers in global tax practice. The three (3) months virtual Undergraduate Tax Internship Program, which concludes on 15 July 2025, offers law and business undergraduates a hands-on approach to taxation and sets them off to a great start in global standard tax competency development under the tutelage of seasoned industry experts. The six (6) months Professional Graduate Tax Mentorship Program connects participants to global tax leaders and experts who will help them kick off or fast-track their journey to global tax leadership. With seasoned tax experts across Africa, Europe, and North America, the tax mentorship program at EOTI promises to be a life-changing experience for its participants.
Both programs are at the heart of EOTI’s mission – to advance the field of tax and support the development of the next generation of global tax leaders through structured tax mentorship, practical tax education, and all-round professional development.
